Firefighter Appreciation Night
Every October, the Isle of Palms community comes together to celebrate our local heroes at the annual Firefighter Appreciation Night, hosted by Islander 71 and presented by the Law Enforcement Neighborhood Support (LENS) Foundation. Held during National Fire Prevention Week, this special evening is a tribute to the dedication and bravery of our island's first responders, including our firefighters and police officers, who tirelessly protect our community.
An Evening of Community, Fun, and Support
The event offers a vibrant blend of family-friendly activities, live music, delicious food, and breathtaking views. Kids can enjoy exploring a real firetruck, complete with fun stickers and plastic fire hats, while adults sip the Mayor’s Margarita and other specialty drinks prepared by a guest-bartending Isle of Palms Mayor. Attendees of all ages can enjoy face painting, live music, and a picturesque autumn sunset over the Intracoastal.
Supporting a Great Cause
All proceeds from specialty drinks and donations go directly to the LENS Foundation, supporting our first responders and their families. Local businesses also contribute generously, providing food, drinks, and giveaways as a heartfelt thank-you to our community’s heroes.
